CDI – US Secretary of State John Kerry has called on Iran to release Boise pastor Saeed Abedini along with two other men.

Kerry called on Iran to release him, noting he will have been held two year September 26. Kerry also praised Naghmeh Abedini, Saeed’s wife and the mother of their two children for her efforts to bring attention to his plight including addressing Congress the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland.
“Mrs. Abedini has spoken eloquently about the difficulties her family has faced during this challenging time,” Kerry said in a statement.
Kerry also told Iran to release Amir Hekmati and Jason Rezaian to their families and “work cooperatively with us to find Robert Levinson and bring him home.”
Hekmati has been held three years on what Kerry described as “false espionage charges” while visiting his family in Iran. Rezaian, a reporter for the Washington Post, is being detained in an unknown location.
Levinson went missing in March 2007 on Kish Island.
